Miss South Africa 2017 : Info

Miss South Africa 2017 finale was held on 26th March 2017 which concluded with the crowning of Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters as the winner. Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters succeeded Miss South Africa 2016 Ntandoyenkosi Kunene, and will now represent the country either at the Miss Universe 2017 or Miss World 2017 pageant, to be held later this year.

At the same pageant, Adè van Heerden was adjudged the first runner-up and Boipelo Mabe was titled second runner-up. Priyeshka Lutchman and Shané Naidoo completed the Top 5 while the rest of the Top 8 were Iman Mkwanazi, Nicole van Niekerk and Odirile Sepeng.

Miss South Africa 2017 was organized by the license holder Sun International in collaboration with Cell C. Demi received a cash prize, a car, an international holiday and other prizes in a package that exceeds 2 Million ZAR (equivalent to approximately USD 150,000). All the Top 12 finalists for 2017 each received a cash prize of 25,000 ZAR.

Before announcing the Top 12 finalists, the Miss SA Organisation revealed the 26 Semi-finalists, which were Adè van Heerden, Boipelo Mabe, Callie-Jo Bouman, Chante Clair Holloway, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, Devoney Crossman, Iman M Mkwanazi, Jessica Tovey, Kayla Malherbe, Keipeile Raisibe Dintoe, Lou-Marie Taljaard, Michellé Kruger, Milanie Cilliers, Nicole van Niekerk, Nompumelelo Mampholo, Ntombikayise Msimango, Odirile Sepeng, Olin-Shae Elizabeth de la Cruz, Priyeshka Lutchman, Saskia Wagner, Shané Naidoo, Shelbe Pretorius, Shenai Bridglall, Tshegofatso Monggae, Yuta Raubenheimer, and Zozibini Tunzi.
