Sthefany Gutierrez wore the outfit inspired by Guaichia, the Goddess protector of Nature. Showing the mystical and fantasy side of Venezuela, Sthefany wore a gorgeous outfit which had quite an interesting story behind it.
Legends tell that Guaichia was a Nivar maiden, the enchanted daughter of a powerful cacique. The shaman of the village had predicted that when a strange-eyed girl was born, she would have to be sacrificed and offered to the owner of the waters, to the Great Anaconda, because otherwise, ruins would come. She was forbidden to see herself in the waters but one day she went to the lake discovering her own reflection, waking up the Great Anaconda, drawing it towards her. Since that day she became Goddess protector of Nature and tells the legend that today is manifested as a form of a blue butterfly.
It is because of that Osmel Sousa was inspired by this exotic Goddess who designed the outfit together with the Voyage. It is made entirely by hand with more than 140000 Swarovski crystals that he obtained with his allies, complemented with a beautiful crown of Susana Ruiz and a sculptural butterfly and anaconda by the artist Jason Galarraga.
