After Argentina’s placement in the Top 21 of the last edition of Miss Universe 2020 with Alina Luz Akselrad, Beauty Czar Osmel Sousa held an interview with Lourdes Stephen his YouTube channel and announced that he will not continue with the Miss Universe Argentina franchise.

After being at the position for just two years, Osmel revealed that he has left the organization and does not want to return to because of how complicated it is to carry out a contest in a country without a culture of beauty pageants. He also ensured that he does not want to return to the Miss Venezuela organization.

At the beginning of July 2019, Sousa announced, through his social networks, that he will assume the direction of the Miss Argentina beauty pageant. Before joining in the Miss Universe Argentina organization, he was the President of Miss Venezuela Organization which he decided to leave after a successful run of 37 Years And 7 Miss Universe Beauty Queens being crowned under him.

With this news, the rumor increases that Osmel could lead the Miss Universe Puerto Rico, after it was known that Denise Quiñónes is no longer in office. He also mentioned that would love to take on Miss Puerto Rico together with Magaly Febles, and that he is willing if possible to take on the contest.

Sousa has been called a Pygmalion, an artist who turns out talented and beautiful young women. Up until now, Venezuela has had seven Miss Universe titleholders, six Miss World winners, eight Miss International crowns, and two wins in Miss Earth, becoming one of the most successful pageant powerhouse in the world.

Prominently known for his excellence in both pageantry and advertising, Sousa has been called ‘The Czar of Beauty’ for his significant role in producing the large number of beauty titles for Venezuela. For what he is considered, as the best coach of beauty queens, worldwide. It will be interesting to see if the Beauty Czar would go to prepare queens in other country.
