Will South Africa’s Natasha Joubert create a back-to-back win at Miss Universe 2020?

South Africa, in the last three years, has shown consistent rise in the pageantry specially in Miss Universe where the country has proven the same by winning two Miss Universe crowns and one runner-up position. The South African beauties are the epitome of courage, beauty and passion, impressing everyone with their idiosyncrasies.

The impressive streak for South Africa began in Miss Universe 2017 when Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters won the coveted crown breaking a drought of thirty-nine years. Demi, during and after her Miss Universe reign, became an inspiration for millions of young women all over the world who inspired to bring a change in the world. In 2018, Tamaryn Green went on to represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2018 but unfortunately lost to Catriona Gray, thus losing the chance to create a back-to-back win.

In 2019, under the delegation of Zozibini Tunzi, South Africa once again conquered the Universe and won the second crown in an alternate year. Zozibini Tunzi impressed everyone with her intelligence and wit and specially her answer in the coveted Q/A round at the finale.

For the 2020 edition, Natasha Joubert has been appointed by the Miss South Africa organization to represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2020. Natasha hails from Centurion, Tshwane, Gauteng and is a Public Relations Officer at RFJ Inc. Attorneys and founder and owner of Natalia Jefferys (Pty) Ltd. She has a B.Com Marketing Management Graduate from Boston City Campus.

Natasha started her company with her mother as she was pushed to be independent due to early demise of her father. Being independent and earning for herself has been such a push-giver in her situation which has created a strong character for Natasha today. She has proven that one isn’t a product of one’s circumstances but of choice.

If Natasha impresses everyone with her personality and her beauty, she sure has a strong chance of creating a back-to-back win her country at the upcoming edition of Miss Universe which will host the finals on 16th May 2021 in Florida, USA.
