The Miss Universe Organization has advised the national franchises to designate their first runner-up of the previous year’s competition for representing their respective countries at the 69th edition of Miss Universe i.e., Miss Universe 2020 due to the recent coronavirus pandemic. Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa will crown her successor by the end of the event finale. The organization has also given the national franchises option of either hosting the coronation ceremony after the situation gets better or hold a private casting where they can crown/appoint the next representative of the respective country.
Luana Lobo who hails from Ceará was adjudged as the first runner-up at Miss Brasil 2019 is legible to represent Brasil at Miss Universe 2020. Luana is 24-years-old and a professional model who has lived and worked in 18 countries. Her experience around the world enabled her to master three other languages? besides Portuguese, English, Spanish and Mandarin. In 2019, she decided to compete for Miss Ceará 2019.
Luana is strong, confident and determined woman who is passionate about fashion and beauty pageant. She has always surrounded herself with nature and animals and wants to work for the betterment of them. She is an avid traveller and likes to explore different types of culture. The diva feels that by meeting new people and knowing about different culture has helped her shape herself better. She has worked very hard to win the title of Miss Brasil 2019 but unfortunately missed the chance to win it. But since Miss Universe Organization has appealed to the national franchises to designate their first runner-up for Miss Universe 2020 pageant, this would give Luana a chance to represent Brasil at Miss Universe 2020.
