According to the announcement made a few days ago under the new franchise of Miss Universe Brazil, the representative of Brazil for Miss Universe 2020 stage will be announced officially on 20th August 2020. The winner will succeed Miss Universe Brazil 2019 Júlia Horta. The decision to choose a representative rather than hosting a coronation ceremony was taken due to the pandemic.
With the list of potential candidates being prepared for the title, Saiury Carvalho has caught our attention as she seems like a potential candidate who can represent Brazil at Miss Universe 2020 stage. She is 28-years-old and stands 171 cm tall and has graduated in nutrition and post graduated in Phytotherapy and Supplementation. She mentioned that training in nutrition has really helped the diva a lot as she has knowledge so, she can always apply different dietary strategy in her daily life which has worked a lot.
Saiury is not to the pageantry as she entered the world of pageantry in 2010 when she received an invitation to represent Ceará in the Miss Turismo Latino Brasil where she was placed as the second runner-up but she was very thrilled to be a part of the beauty pageant as she stated that she was able to increase her professional cycle, and was able to gain experience and learn more about what it was like to be a Miss. She mentioned, “I was extremely thrilled with the result, because I really didn't expect to take down so many beautiful and well-prepared candidates. This episode marked my life a lot, I reflected and decided to study more, prepare myself with the help of a coordinator, so that I could return prepared for the event. I wanted to become a Miss, for being a dream that became objective in my life.” In 2017, Saiury represented Sergipe at Miss Brasil 2017 competition where she was placed at the Top 5 at the end of event finale. She has worked very hard to mark her name in the beauty pageant world and would a potential candidate to represent Brazil at Miss Universe 2020 stage.
The diva has mentioned in one of her interviews that initially she was afraid of the new, of the transformation, of making the wrong choices and of not knowing what waited for her in the future. But, during the process and prepping herself up for the competition she moved on from that feeling with more wisdom, strength, and determination. According to her, “Miss must have a purpose-based reign planning, must be friendly, be communicative, have her own opinion, must be interested in the problems of her State or Country and be active in social projects.” The diva likes to run in contact with nature, going to the beach, read books, or just be around her family and friends in her spare time.
Maria da Penha is her biggest inspiration due to her life story and she thinks she's amazing. She describes her as, “Even though she faced a lot of obstacles, she created a law that now protects us women from the cowardice of some men.” On asking about beauty secrets, Saiury mentioned that she is very particular about few things in her routine including to have a balanced diet, without any severe restrictions, great nights of sleep and regular physical exercise.
She advises the young girls who aspire to enter beauty pageants, “This world is not easy, but nothing in life is easy either! What you need is dedication, strength, and courage to face all obstacles. Fight, seek knowledge and most importantly, keep the faith that everything will work out. Energy is what moves us. If we are in tune with it, everything beautiful happens in our life.”
Saiury can be a potential candidate to represent Brazil at Miss Universe 2020 stage as she strong, confident, and focused towards making her name in the world and her experience in the filed is an added advantage.
