Jiaxin Sun crowned Miss Universe China 2020

Miss Universe China 2020 finale was held on 9th December 2020 in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China where stunning beauties competed for national crown and at the end of the event finale, Jiaxin Sun was crowned the new queen. She succeeds Miss Universe China 2019 Rosie Zhu Xin and will represent China at Miss Universe 2020.

The 21-year-old stunning beauty from Beijing bested 86 other ladies to win the national crown. Sun is a student at the Capital University of Physical Education and Sports in Beijing. She will be the 19th woman to represent China at Miss Universe.

The newly crowned Miss Universe China 2020 Jiaxin Sun’s court included –

1st Runner-up – Dan Wu of Shanghai

2nd Runner-up – Yujia Chen of Beijing

Xinyuan Li of Guangdong and Lo Wong of Hong Kong finished up the Top 5.

The show was hosted by Xue Yungfang. The winner’s crown is called Hollow Valley Orchid is made by the jewelry brand Cardiny’s Jewelry. As Miss Universe China 2020, Sun also won an expensive dress made of pearls. The total value of her Hollow Valley Orchid crown is worth 5 million yuans ($764,140.40).

Miss Universe was established in 1952 while China started sending a candidate in 2002 when Zhuo Ling finished second runner-up. After Zhuo, only three candidates placed at Miss Universe. Luo Zilin was fourth runner-up in 2011 while Jin Ye and Qiu Qiang finished in the Top 16 in 2013 and in 2017, respectively.

Last year, Miss Universe China 2019 Rosie Zhu Xin represented her country at Miss Universe 2019 but unfortunately failed to place in the Top 20. The country is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Universe.
