As we last informed you about the rumour that might have been, about the Mayor of Cartagena, Colombia DionisioVélezTrujillo asking Ariadna Gutierrez, Miss Universe Colombia 2015 not to compete in the 64th Miss Universe pageant. Well it seems like nothing of that sorts is going to happen.
The latest we hear is, Ariadna Gutiérrez when asked about her withdrawal from the Miss Universe 2015 pageant, dismissed it as rumour and is adamant in joining the Miss Universe pageant which is yet to be held at an unconfirmed date & venue. The beauty is undeterred, even after being caught amidst pressures from fellow Latinos and even past beauty queens not to participate.
Ariadna did not shy away from mentioning that she will ‘double or triple what Paulina (Vega) did’ in terms of her preparation for the pageant. “The triumph of Paulina was an enormous happiness. Not only for me but also for 47 million Colombians and many more who followed her from outside of the country. I screamed, I cried, I felt a thousand emotions, but I knew from the beginning that she would win, the truth is she was the best”, said Ariadna in an interview.
With Ariadna’s confirmation on her participation at the grand slam pageant, the ardent pageant fans now await the same response from Colombia’s pageant-crazy neighbor Venezuela.
