Vanesa Švédová was crowned Ceška Miss Essens 2022 at the grand finale of the Ceška Miss Essens 2022 which took place on Sunday, 11th December 2022 in Prague's O2 Universum. Winning the national title, Vanesa became Miss Universe Czech Republic 2023 and will now represent Czech Republic at Miss Universe 2023.

Vanesa Švédová hails from Prerov. She 19 years of age and currently a student and model. On winning the national crown, Vanesa took to her official social media to reveal her emotions and wrote, “Oh my goodness, I still can’t believe y’all really chose me. Thank you all for the votes, for the SMS, to the jury, the audience, the girls, the production for the great care and organization, to everyone who helped me in any way to achieve this.”

Being a student, Vanesa is currently focusing on her exams. She will have the whole year to prepare herself to compete at Miss Universe 2023. Through her reign, she would definitely like to show people that there is a lot of beauty behind modeling and that there are also normal girls.

On being asked why should she be the winner, Vanesa replied, “Why should I be the new Czech Miss That's really hard to answer because I think we're all evenly matched here. But I like to smile, show and communicate. I think it should be someone easy-going.”

For Vanesa, the victory was very unexpected because she was eliminated during the competition initially. “I didn't expect it at all. I know everyone says it, but I was eliminated during the competition, which was in the form of a reality show. The jury unexpectedly returned me to the game, the victory is even more of a shock for me”, she quipped.
