Farah Sedky crowned Miss Universe Egypt 2017

At the conclusion of the finale of Miss Universe Egypt 2017 held at Cairo Marriott in Cairo, Egypt on 28th October 2017, Farah Sedky was crowned as Miss Universe Egypt 2017 and she will now represent Egypt in Miss Universe 2017 scheduled to be held on 26th November 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the same event, Nermeen Rashad and Samar Seif Al Yazal were declared as first runner-up and second runner-up respectively.

Farah bested nine other aspirants to clinch the coveted title of Miss Universe Egypt 2017 and was crowned by gorgeous Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere. Egypt last competed in Miss Universe 2014, and with Farah as Miss Universe Egypt 2017, Egypt makes a comeback at Miss Universe 2017 after skipping participation in the last two Miss Universe events.

Farah was also a candidate in Miss World Egypt 2017 but could not make it to Top 5 finalists, and this time her hard work and determination made her win the Miss Universe Egypt title and the opportunity to compete in Miss Universe 2017.

Farah is 20 years of age and stands tall at a towering height of 183 cm. She hails from Alexandria and has completed her graduation in Spanish & Portuguese philology from the University of Oviedo in Spain with highest honours band and is currently studying for her Masters in Diplomacy. She hopes to work for the United Nations in coming future. She is not just a beautiful face but also a lovely singer and can speak six languages. Her hobbies include singing, cooking, reading, working out, travelling and learning languages.

After winning the title of Miss Universe Egypt 2017 Farah expressed her happiness by saying, “It was great to keep confidence in me and a sense of the possibility of winning the title and finally rise to a major competition, Miss Universe 2017. I know I have given my best and will do the same in future.”
