The newly formed Miss Universe Indonesia organization just crowned its 2023 representative. However, the organization has come under serious fire after six contestants issued official complaints with the police accusing the organizers of sexual harassment.
The contestants filed a complaint that they had to undergo physical examination in their underwear and were photographed ‘topless’ in a room with more than 20 people.

Now, the Miss Universe Indonesia Organization has issued a statement in response to allegations. The national director and owner Poppy Capella has reaffirmed that the whole situation is being properly monitored and that they are taking the allegations very seriously.
"In response to media coverage about the incidents at the Miss Universe Indonesia pageant, we at Miss Universe Indonesia are closely monitoring the situation. We are actively investigating the allegations that have been reported in the mass media. We will conduct a [thorough] investigation and review the allegations made against us”, she quoted.

Meanwhile, the Miss Universe Organization has also been made aware of the serious allegations and they have also assured everyone that they take these very seriously and are looking into this matter. Providing a safe place for women is the Miss Universe Organization's utmost priority.
