Elicena Andrada was crowned Miss Universe Paraguay 2023 at the finale of the national pageant held at Paseo La Galería, Asunción, Paraguay today on Sunday, 25th June 2023 as she became the official representative of Paraguay at Miss Universe 2023.

Elicena Andrada is 28 years of age and holds a degree in fine arts. She works as a commercial model in Spain and is also a tattoo artist who loves drawing and snowboarding. She took courses at Harvard University on child protection and children’s rights.

Not new to the pageantry, Andrada first competed in a beauty pageant in 2017 at the Miss Latin America of the World pageant, where she won her first international crown. Her second pageant was Miss Grand Paraguay 2021 pageant where she was second runner-up, and last year she placed 1st runner-up to Miss World Paraguay.

Along with Andrada, Yanina Gómez was crowned Miss World Paraguay 2023 and became the official representative of Paraguay at Miss World 2024. Jimena Sosa was also crowned Miss International Paraguay 2023 who will also travel next year to Japan at Miss International.

Also, Lorena Roman was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2023 and will represent Paraguay at the next edition of Reina Hispanoamericana while Gretha Matiauda was crowned Miss Earth Paraguay 2023 and will represent her country at the next edition of Miss Earth.
