The gala coronation night of the 65th edition of Miss Universe is almost here, and in just three days there will be a new Miss Universe. One of the 86 delegates will succeed Pia Wurtzbach as the next Miss Universe. Amidst all the pre-pageant activities and events, last night the candidates attended the Preliminary Competition of Miss Universe 2016. Now, the Preliminary Competition is very important, as based on the Prelims the Top 12 finalists will be announced at the finale.
Now, pageant fans around the globe have their favourites and are cheering up for their bet, and since the pageant is happening in Philippines, Pinoy beauty Maxine has been receiving immense support and love. A number of beauty queens have expressed their support for Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina over social media and also in person. The recent beauty icon who expressed love is Miss Universe Philippines 1994 Charlene Gonzales.

Charlene was one of the Top 6 finalists at the Miss Universe 1994 pageant, and also won the Best National Costume award then. She garnered popularity with her clever answer during the finale. The beauty produced one of the most famous answers in an international beauty competition.
