The Philippines has always made us proud with their achievements year after year. This year, Gray and Ganados got a chance to be featured on Telemundo, one of the biggest television networks.
Telemundo is an American Spanish-language terrestrial television network owned by Comcast through NBCUniversal. It is the second-largest provider of Spanish-language content nationally and recently featured the two most beautiful Filipina queens, Gazini Ganados and Catriona Gray on their channel. Telemundo is known to have over 8 million followers on Instagram and its reach will surely give the girls the popularity they deserve.
Miss Universe Philippines 2019 and elderly care advocate Gazini Ganados spoke at the conclusion of Bayani Run, a charity run that was held on 18th November 2019 in Pasay City, Philippines. The beneficiaries included senior citizens and Ganados joined the Run without fanfare to help raise funds for the Coalition of Services for the Elderly (COSE). The 23-year-old Palestinian-Filipina is promoting elderly care to honour her late grandmother who raised her while her mother used to work abroad.
Another one of our Filipino queens, Miss Universe 2018 fame Catriona Gray was also featured on Telemundo on the same date in New York. She was being interviewed on what she plans on doing after she passes her crown to the new queen on December 8, 2019 at the finale of Miss Universe 2019. She said, “I do have a passion for music and I also want to continue being a spokesperson. I wish to work with the causes that are dear to my heart because it’s really what fulfils me as an individual. You are definitely going to see me doing these things. Please continue to support me.” She was also asked about what had been the most important lesson this past year, to which she said, “It’s really been a journey to trust my inner instinct and stay true to what I believe in. Because now more than ever, I’m being tugged in so many different ways.”
