The first edition of Miss Universe Philippines i.e., Miss Universe Philippines 2020, will be hosted on 3rd May 2020 in Mall of Asia Arena, Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila; where the delegates from all over the country will compete for the national title and a chance to represent the country at Miss Universe 2020. Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Since the pageant has officially begun, the Miss Universe Philippines organization held its official glam shoot, where the delegates wearing their beautiful attires, gave their best shots. The photographer who did the shoot was none other than Filbert Kung, who is one of the famous photographers in the Philippines, New York and many other countries. Director Eugene David was also present there who guided the divas throughout the shoot for their perfect poses and the divas were styled by Loris Peña for their perfect glam shot.

All the divas looked mesmerizingly beautiful but there were these, who took over everyone’s heart. So, without any further ado, let’s look at our favourite divas from the official glamshots of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 –

Christine Nicole F. Silvernale representing Angeles City

Christine is 19-years-old and started her modelling journey with her university’s annual beauty pageant where she was crowned Ms. University 2018. The Filo-Deutch- American model is a medical student at Angeles University Foundation Integrated School. The diva wore a beautiful lavender coloured evening gown styled by Loris Peña. She wore the evening gown designed by Jojomacapinlac. The beauty queen looked gorgeous in her evening gown which enhanced her beauty and she had a striking pose for the shot.

Nathalia C. Urcia representing Batangas

Nathalia stands 175cm and has studied International Tourism Management at Universal College of Parañaque. She is a freelance model and a trainee at Canyon Cove Hotel and Spa. The diva started her beauty pageant journey when she was in college where she participated in the local beauty pageants that were hosted by her college organization. The diva wore a beautiful evening gown with a side slit and a plunging neckline. Her confident pose for the glam shot made her look ready for the competition. The evening gown had a lining in the mid-section which was used to highlight the elegance of the gown.

Mari Danica M. Reynes representing Cagayan Province

Danica Reynes is 28-years-old and stands 167 cm tall. Danica worked as a cabin crew in Saudi Arabia where she experienced different cultures and religions which made her respect diversity. She says that living as a Catholic in a Muslim country really opened her eyes to the world. The diva wore a beautiful red coloured evening gown and posed beautifully in the glam shot photoshoot. She ensembled her look with beautiful pair of earnings. The gown and the perfect shot showcased the diva as a confident young woman who is ready for the competition.

Apriel D. Smith representing Cebu Province

Apriel Smith is 24-years-old and stands 175 cm tall and primarily hails from Cebu. The Filipino-black American beauty queen is a model and, also an event host, rose to fame in pageantry when she was crowned Binibining Cebu 2017.  The diva wore a black coloured gown which silver detailing at the side of the customized evening gown by Philipp Piezas Tampus. The diva chose to keep her hair back in the sleek and stylish ponytail which and strike a pose for the glamshot. She chose not to use any other accessory to over-do the look and just kept her look simple and elegant. Apriel’s confidence and skills are clearly visible with her absolutely to the point looking shot.

Rabiya Mateo representing Iloilo City

Rabiya stands 170 cm tall and hails from Balasan, Iloilo. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the Iloilo Doctors College. She now works at SRG Manila Review Centre as Review Coordinator and Lecturer. The diva wore a scarlet red coloured evening gown designed by Paolo Blanco and styled by Loris Peña. She kept her hair back and pair the gown with beautiful earrings. Her pose for the shot makes her look like a successful runway model. She is working hard to win the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2020.

Trizha B. Ocampo representing La Union

Trizha is a 26-years-old graduate from the University of Baguio. She wants to win the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 so that she can fulfil her mother's dream of seeing her representing Philippines at the stage of Miss Universe. She wants to work for underprivileged kids. Her love and affection for children can be seen by her deeds. Trizha adorned a beautiful red coloured evening gown which was styled by Loris Peña. The diva’s gown had one sided cape sleeves that was perfectly shot by the photographer when it flowed. The diva accessorised her look with simple and elegant looking earrings.

Maria Isabela B. Galeria representing Sorsogon

Maria Isabela B. Galeria has completed her schooling from Matnog National High School. Maria aspired to become a doctor because coming from Sorsogon, she was aware of the struggles and grievances of the general public to gain access to basic healthcare. She, then, took admission in medical college and graduated at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Centre with a degree in Nursing and now is a registered nurse. The diva wore a pink coloured evening gown by Mark Bumgarner for the glam shoot and posed elegantly with a very minimal smile. The gown had a golden belt in the mid-section which looked well placed with the gown. The colour of the gown enhanced the beauty of the diva and she looked gorgeous with small yet elegant earrings to complete her look.

Sandra Raymundo Lemonon representing Taguig

Sandra Lemonon is 25-years-old and stands 175cm tall. She has graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from Escola Portuguesa de Macao in Macau, China and now works as a part time model and is a baker by profession. Sandra Lemonon is not new to pageantry as she participated in Miss World Philippines 2016 and was placed as the fourth runner-up. The diva wore an onion pink coloured evening gown which enhanced all the attributes of the diva. She accessorised her evening gown look with an elegant bracelet and posed like a true queen. She posed with utmost elegance and conviction with a subtle smile on her beautiful looking face. Her short hair was just an advantage to her entire look. She mentioned a special thank you to the team of Miss Universe Philippines who helped her glam up like a true diva and her Lemonades who have helped her stayed confident and motivated all throughout.
