After Miss Universe Philippines branched out from Binibining Pilipinas and began its preparation for the first ever solo edition i.e. Miss Universe Philippines 2020, the organization held its first ever Press Conference yesterday. New key initiatives were discussed including the pillars for this year's competition, the Accredited Partner Program, and most important of all, the date of the pageant which will be on 3rd May 2020 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
As a separate organization Miss Universe Philippines will encourage Filipina women to become empowered individuals, who also embody the mission of being agents of meaningful change wherever they are.

Acclaimed individuals from all over the country have been brought together to fulfil the demands and obligations of the competition this year. Shamcey Supsup Lee, former Miss Universe Philippines, is the national director and is in charge of organizational management.
Jonas Antonio Gaffud is the creative director of the organization who is responsible for designing the total pageant experience. Lia Ramos is the head of women empowerment and charity, making sure all charity initiatives are aligned with the overall vision of the organization. Albert Andrada is the design council head, ensuring that all items related to fashion in the pageant represent the best of Filipino creativity and are world-class quality.

The whole team will work together with the delegates as the applications submission deadline is 31st January 2020 and the final screening will be held on 1st February 2020. The contestants will go through rigorous training to be in their best shape and learn to live like a queen. The press conference basically focused on all these things.
Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados, who was crowned by Binibining Pilipinas organization last year, will be the first and the last diva to hold a hand with both the old and the new organization. She will also crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
