A transformational leader, Leigh Danielle Isip Sunga has made it to all the wishlists for Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant. The 4th edition of Miss Universe Philippines will be held in the coming months and currently, applications submission is underway.

Danielle Sunga is 20 years of age and stands 5 feet 7 inches tall. From Sasmuan, Pampanga, Sunga is currently studying Bachelor of Science in Economics at University of the Philippines, Los Baños, Laguna. Holding the title of Mutya Ning Kapampangan 2022, Sunga has what it takes to represent her country at an international platform.

The perfect example of beauty with brains, Sunga is an advocate of Mental Health of Sexual Assault/Abuse Survivors. Coming from a personal story, Sunga is a sexual assault survivor herself. The tragedy could have taken a toll on her mental health but she had a strong support group that understood and knew what she's going through. Now she wants to inspire her fellow survivors to come together so everyone can support each other and try to end violence against women.

Her life story is impressive; poverty was a hindrance in her education. She pushes for financial assistance for marginalized students because it will help millions of Filipino students who can create positive change in the future. She is also an advocate for LGBTQIA+ Rights and Equality.

Miss Universe Philippines 2023, the 4th edition of the Miss Universe Philippines, will be held in a few months where delegates from all over the country to compete for the national crown. Silvia Celeste Cortesi of Pasay Miss Universe Philippines 2022 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The winner will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2023 to be held in El Salvador at the end of 2023.
