Victoria Velasquez Vincent, the official representative of Baccor, with her outstanding performance in the ongoing Miss Universe Philippines 2024 competition has emerged as one of the strongest contenders for the national crown.

Victoria, a Kiwi-Irish-Filipino architect, was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. In her recent ‘Her Story’ video, Victoria turned emotional as she and her mother talked about the time that she was kidnapped when she was just three years old. Her video was emotions-provoking, and showed how strong Victoria has always been, even in the face of disaster.

In 2020, Victoria earned her double master’s degrees in architecture and heritage conservation from the University of Auckland. Not new to the national pageantry, Victoria represented Cavite at Miss Universe Philippines 2021 where she finished third and was crowned Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2021. In the same year, she was offered to become Miss Universe New Zealand, but she declined.

“My heart is, and always will be here to serve the Philippines. Some may say I'm not Filipina enough, and that's OK. I know who I am. I know what I stand for. I am a Filipina”, Victoria quoted. Vincent, with her stunning beauty, advocacy for heritage conservation, and a really charming personality, will be a strong contender for the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 crown.

The fifth edition of Miss Universe Philippines will be held in the coming weeks where the winner will be crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2024. The winner will succeed Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee and will represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2024.
