Christi McGarry was appointed Miss Universe Philippines - Taguig 2024 at the sashing ceremony held on 6th February 2024 as she became the official representative of Taguig at Miss Universe Philippines 2024. The 34-year-old Filipino-American beauty queen is currently based in Taguig, Metro Manilla.

Christi rose to fame as she became the first and still remains the only delegate to represent Philippines at Miss Intercontinental twice. The 5 feet 11 inches tall beauty queen was raised in New Jersey where she played varsity football and basketball as a student. Winning the regional crown, Christi took to her official social media as she wrote, “Firm believer of everything in its right time and place. Christi Lynn Landrito McGarry, proudly representing the city of Taguig.”

Christi earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing and advertising from the Joseph I. Lubin School of Business of Pace University in New York, USA. A pageant veteran, Christi holds the titles of Miss Teen Philippines-USA 2004, Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2008 runner-up. In 2010, she represented the Philippines at Top Model of the World 2010 and finished in Top 15.

The same year, Christi competed at Mutya ng Pilipinas 2010 where she was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific 2010. In November, she competed at Miss Intercontinental 2010 and placed in the Top 15. Five years later, she represented Philippines again at Miss Intercontinental 2015 where she placed as the first runner-up. Christi will definitely be a strong contender for the national crown with her experience, her stunning beauty and a charming personality.

Miss Universe Philippines 2024, the fifth edition of Miss Universe Philippines, will be held later this year where Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee of Makati will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
