The coronation ceremony of Miss Universe Singapore 2020 will be held soon as the situation in the country eases down; where the delegates from all over the country will compete for the national title as well as an opportunity to represent Singapore at Miss Universe 2020 stage. Miss Universe Singapore 2019 Mohana Prabha will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
With the list of delegates being prepared for the title, Lia Alexandria Tan has caught our attention for the title of Miss Universe Singapore 2020 as she seems like a potential candidate to represent Singapore at Miss Universe 2020 stage. She is 22-years-old and is an undergraduate student at Nanyang Technological University under the University Scholars Programme, studying Public Policy and Global Affairs/ Political Science.
Lia is not new to the pageantry as she was one of the participants at Miss Universe Singapore 2019 and was highly appreciated for her performance but unfortunately couldn’t make it to the top position. In collaboration with Thinkspace Singapore, she has worked with teenagers and young adults for the last 3 years. She speaks fluent English and Mandarin which makes her performance even more strong. Lia has worked with various designers and brands in Singapore which has helped her to gain experience as well as knowledge about beauty pageants in depth. She was able to discover more about her post her stint at Miss Universe Singapore 2019 and will be serve as a strong delegate at Miss Universe Singapore 2020 if she decides to participate.
The diva is an avid writer and has her own blog on WordPress where she pours her heart out and serves as a medium to know the diva a little better. She is very expressive towards her feelings and opinions which makes her feel stronger and powerful and can help her during the competition as she is very good with her words. She is an advocate for self-love and self-independence as she feels that if one feels confident and empowered about themselves then, there is nothing in this world that can stop them in achieving their goals.
Lia wants to use the platform she has to raise awareness and increase the literacy rates and enrolment rates within not only in Singapore but all over Southeast Asian countries. She believes that everyone has the right to education and the ones who are denied that due to any forsaken reason should be able to get it as well and she wants to work for them. She wants to create an environment where everyone is safe, confident, and strong enough to have their own voice and Lia also feels that having a population who is educated will help the country’s growth in the long run. She describes herself as strong and independent woman who is ready to take on the challenges any day.
Lia is a strong, potential, and a confident woman who is not only beautiful but very sharp with her opinions and thoughts which can be helpful for her during the competition. She is grateful for all the opportunities she has received till now and feels that with opportunity she has grown more confident and a resilient woman. She likes to experiment with her fashion and makeup which can help her during the competition if she decides to participate. She works on her on-stage walk along with body angles, body postures, communication, and interview skills for future projects and Miss Universe Singapore 2020 could be that if she decides to participate.
