At the grand finale of Miss Universe Sweden 2018 held yesterday at the Café Opera in Stockholm, Emma Strandberg was crowned the new queen by her predecessor Miss Universe Sweden 2017 Frida Fornander. She will now represent Sweden in the upcoming Miss Universe 2018.
The 22-year-old Emma Strandberg is currently studying humanities and international communication at Mälardalens University. Not new to the pageant world, she was also crowned Miss World Sweden 2016 and represented Sweden in Miss World 2016.
Also at the finale, Lina Ljungberg was awarded the title of Miss Bikini Sweden 2018. She was also awarded the title of Miss Photogenic. Cloie Syquia Skarne was awarded the title of first runner-up.
Eighteen gorgeous ladies competed for the national title - Felizia Strandberg, Nour Mussa, Cloie Syquia Skarne, Emma Olofsson, Daniella Lundqvist, Izabell Hahn, Medina Hajra, Anya Bogdan, Emma Strandberg, Aida Karamehmedovic, Yasmine Michelle Mindru, Sofia Johansson, Therse Klockare, Helen Eftekhari, Pebbles Jimsdotter, Lina Ljungberg, Clara Wahlqvist and Filippa Engberg.
Interestingly Emma is the third candidate from the batch of Miss World 2016 who will represent her country in Miss Universe 2018. Along with her, Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Universe Denmark 2018 Helena Heuser are also the candidates of the 2016 batch.
