Miss Universe Thailand organization, in the press conference for Miss Universe Thailand 2018, launched 40 beautiful girls who joined the crown Miss Universe Thailand 2018 journey to win the crown and represent Thailand at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant later this year where Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters will crown her successor.

The crown of Miss Universe Thailand 2018 designed and produced by Beauty James was inspired by the "Peacock", standing remarkably graceful in the middle of the forest like a colorful rainbow tail feather flickering color.

There is also a special fashion show opening the costumes. The contest will consist of a series of activities, swimsuits and evening gowns.

But, before any top finalists are revealed, there are a few contestants that have already been in the highlight since before the finale. One of such contestants is Indian origin Thai supermodel Vena Praveenar Singh.

Vena Praveenar Singh is MUT14 for the Miss Universe Thailand 2018 contest. She was selected in the Top 20 people’s choice.

For a long time, Vena has been working hard to make this happen. This is why she wanted to apply for the Miss Universe Thailand contest. Miss Universe Thailand 2018 is a contest that test the complete abilities, features and appearance of its contestants, including language ability. Thus Vena disclosed that she is fluent in Thai, English, and Russian.

Vena attended the screening like all the other contestants, traveling to apply as requested. The first thing that she noticed as she walked into the screenings was the media waiting to question contestants. She even gave an interview to an online portal. Everyone in the room also cheered for her, even if some did not know her. This made her feel more confident about her application. And she also said. The reason, as to why Vena wants to win the crown of Miss Universe Thailand 2018 is better explained in her own words. She says, “To use the crown from the Miss Universe Thailand I want to become a spokesperson for the problem of sexual harassment that women often encounter in society. Most often the victim is considered to be on the wrong side. Some are not dressed appropriately. Some are walking in seclusion. The focus should be the fact that men do not have the right to hurt anyone.”
