Miss Universe Thailand 2021 will be the 22nd edition of Miss Universe Thailand pageant to be held in Bangkok in October 2021. Miss Universe Thailand 2020 Amanda Obdam of Phuket will crown her successor at the end of the event as the winner will represent Thailand at the Miss Universe 2021 competition in Israel this December.

While an amazing batch of delegates has begun with the pageant activities, there is one name that has topped them all and emerged as a front runner for the title. Tharina Botes, the South African-Thai beauty, is eyeing the national crown this year and if she wins, she will surely put Thailand on a top placement yet again at the 70th edition of Miss Universe.

Standing 180cm tall, this gorgeous diva holds a bachelor’s in commerce degree in Economics. A self-proclaimed island girl, Tharina looks almost prepared for the international platform and make her country proud. She has been outshining as one of the strongest contenders since the beginning of the competition.

Tharina also has a long list of accomplishments when it comes to pageantry; she was awarded the title of Miss International South Africa 2016 and represented her country at Miss International 2016. Unfortunately, she failed to place in the Top 15. In 2018, Tharina competed at the Miss South Africa pageant where she placed in the Top 12. In 2019, Tharina was crowned Miss Grand Phuket 2019 and represented Phuket at Miss Grand Thailand 2019 where she placed in the Top 10.

She has been acing with her stellar performance at all the appearances, practices, rehearsals, photoshoots and other pre-pageant events. She is strong, confident, stunning and has a powerful aura around her. If she continues to work hard and keep up with the expectations that she has raised, Tharina will definitely be one of the most ideal choices to represent the country at the Miss Universe stage, later this year.

Last year, Amanda Obdam represented Thailand at Miss Universe 2020 as she emerged as one of the strongest contenders for the title with a charming personality and an amazing style. Amanda made it to the Top 10 finalists making her country proud. The winner this year will definitely have some big shoes to fill in and match the benchmark set by the reigning queen.
