Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, the 5th edition of the national pageant, was held last night, i.e. 25th June 2022 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where Ngoc Chau was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 as she became the official representative of Vietnam at Miss Universe 2022.
Ngoc Chau gave a stellar performance at the national contest. The stunning beauty is a pageant veteran with Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2016 title, won Miss Supranational Vietnam 2018 and represented her country at Miss Supranational 2019 winning the title of Miss Supranational Asia and placed in Top 10. The newly crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 Ngoc Chau’s court includes –
1st Runner-up - Le Thao Nhi (she might compete at Miss Universe 2023 since Miss Universe Vietnam is held every two years)
2nd Runner-up - Huynh Pham Thuy Tien
Top 5 also included Le Hoang Phuong, Nguyen Thi Huong Ly and Top 10 also included Bui Quynh Hoa, Dang Thu Huyen, Nguyen Thi Thanh Khoa, Ngo Bao Ngoc, Vu Thuy Quynh.
While the hosts for the evening were Duc Bao, Thanh Huyen, the performances were done by artists namely Dong Nhi, Ho Ngoc Hà, Da Lab, Lân Nhã. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova graced the finale with their presence looking absolutely stunning in their gowns.
A number of special awards were also presented at the finale; Miss Beach was presented to Ngô Buo Ngoc, Miss Bravery was presented to Huanh Pham Thuy Tiên, Nguyen Tha Ngoc Châu, Nguyen Thi La Nam and Nguyen Thu Phuong Thuo, Miss Talent was givent to Bùi Tha Thanh Thuy, Best Face was presented to Nguyen Thu La Nam, Best in National Costume was won by Nguyen Võ Ngoc Anh, Best in Catwalk was given to Lê Hoàng Phuong, Best Introduction was given to Nguyen Thu Huong Ly, Best Interview was presented to Nguyen Tha Thanh Khoa, Best Body was presented to Nguyen Thu Ngoc Châu while Best English Skill was given to Lê Thuo Nhi.
