The 71st edition of Miss Wisconsin USA, i.e. Miss Wisconsin USA 2022, was held on 8th May 2022 at the Madison Marriott West Conference Center, Middleton, Wisconsin where Hollis Brown was crowned the new queen. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Wisconsin USA 2021 Samantha Catherine Keaton and will represent her state at Miss USA 2022.

Hollis Brown gave a stellar performance at the competition besting 28 other contestants to win the state crown. Hollis has had an unfortunate incident occur in her life which changed her life course. “During my sophomore year of college, I was sexually assaulted by a male athlete. Six years later, I now feel like I can finally talk about my experience, and I have found therapeutic outlets that work for me. Moving forward, I hope to be a resource for the friends and family members of sexual assault victims; educating them on ways to become a better support system through the journey to healing and ensuring no one goes through such a traumatic moment feeling alone like I once did”, she quotes.

The newly crowned queen Miss Wisconsin USA 2022 Hollis Brown’s court included –

1st Runner-up - Tania Alvarez

2nd Runner-up - Jamie Fay Walloch

3rd Runner-up - Haley Schonter

4th Runner-up - Megan Bargiel

Top 16 also included Alefiyah Dawoodbhai, Kaitlyn Schmidt, Lorrain Hahn, JaLesa Campbell, Karly Knaus, Autumn Mays, Jade Flury, Megan Srnka, Paige Kassner, Foley Van Lieshout and Katrina Mazier.

Also at the finale, Sage Gundelly was crowned Miss Wisconsin Teen USA 2022 as she became the official representative of her state at Miss Teen USA 2022. Shelby Hohneke, Micaela B, Alexia Pfeiffer and Taliyah U were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
