Last year, Miss World 1994 Aishwarya Rai sported purple lipstick for her final red carpet appearance which raised several fashion eyebrows but the recent Cannes 2017 appearance by her made it evident that she is still the queen of red carpet appearances. Her Cinderella look to her purple lips look, the former Miss World stunned everyone like a pro on the red carpet. In fact, she astonished everyone as she again chose to wear purple shaded lipstick despite receiving so much of flak last year at the event and we must say that she nailed it! We all know that these celebs have to face criticism even though they make slightest of mistake but Aishwarya Rai has made it clear this time by saying that she is going to react if such things happen!
But there is so much love out there, this marks one of the most appreciated years on the fashion front at the French Riviera for the actress. From her sheer green tiered ensemble by Yanina Couture to the blue Cinderella ball gown and the red Ralph & Russo dress, Aishwarya left everyone spell bound. The actress said that she always believes in experimenting, be it her fashion choices or films. She also added by saying that an actor grows with the flow, she will never opt for anything that makes her uncomfortable.
The 43-year-old actress presented her 2002 film Devdas on the big screen for selected audience as part of the festival and said she was thrilled to showcase the movie again as it brought her to Cannes Film Festival for the first time.
While speaking her heart out, Ash said, ‘’ Every time I make an appearance, I am being judged. I am a normal human being and obviously, if it gets nasty, I am going to react. But I have always joked that I go with the flow and the audience can enjoy the show.” Well, now we totally agree with Aishwarya that no one is deserved to be pulled down just on the basis of their appearances after all! We are glad that she made it clear for once and all.
Meanwhile, even Sonam Kapoor also rocked the red carpet in Cannes event. She said, ‘I have been lucky as far as my clothes are concerned. But I’d rather people talk about my clothes, so I am fine with that too.” Now we must say that the L’Oreal girls are in no mood to take any harsh comments on them and we should appreciate this boldness in them!
