Miss World 2016 pageant is scheduled to be held on 18th December 2016 and at the conclusion of the finale, Mireia Lalaguna of Spain will pass on her crown to her successor. The Miss World is one of the oldest beauty pageants amongst the Big 4 (four) international beauty pageants. The pageant is the most popular among the Big 4 pageants, and holds significance because of its advocacy that promotes “Beauty with a Purpose”.
“Beauty with a Purpose” (BWAP) is not just a term, but an ideology that the winner of the pageant has to abide by and live throughout her reign. Hence, the “Beauty with a Purpose” projects also hold much importance in the Preliminary segments of the pageant. Hence, recently the chairman and the CEO of Miss World, Julia Morley, spoke to the candidates about the importance of BWAP during a special screening of selected Miss World 2016 Beauty with a Purpose projects.
