Two months ago, the finale of Miss World 2016 concluded with the crowning of Puerto Rico’s Stephanie Del Valle. The result came as a shock to many, especially Filipinos who were rooting for Catriona Gray for the title. For past two months there have been no update on the whereabouts of the newly crowned, and this instigated a rage among the masses. Stephanie Del Valle has been occupied with her official trip covering Miami, Hong Kong, China and London. The beauty is now back to her home and is in San Juan. Recently, Stephanie also took out time to visit the San Jorge Children’s Hospital in Puerto Rico where she spent time with the patients from the Oncological Center and from the Mental Health Center. She was accompanied by Mister World Puerto Rico 2016 Fernando Alvarez.
Stephanie was seen chatting and spending time along with three 17 year old patients, namely Genesis, Abyael, and Eddie. The three children were so overwhelmed with Stephanie’s warmth that they each gifted her a signed painting which had their hand prints, with a crown, a sash and Puerto Rican flag drawn on it. “This priceless, memorable, and unique gift is already hanging on my wall: thank you,” said Stephanie Del valle.
Stephanie is a BA student majoring in communication studies at Pace University, New York. She is also a musician, and hopes to join the entertainment industry. Her independent and individualistic personality doesn’t allow her to follow to crowd. She wants to make her journey not just about herself but also about children with Down syndrome. She explains about her project, 'A Choir of Angels' which is a therapy program based on music for treatment for babies affected with the disorder.
