Miss World 2016 is about to enter the final circle of the contest and is slated to be held on 18th December 2016. A total of 118 delegates are vying for the coveted crown, but only one of them will earn the honour. While the batch this year is promising, not a single contender is leaving any chance to miss out on an opportunity to get the crown.

Amidst all the preparation and competition, 20 delegates were recently invited to attend the Grand Opening of the MGM Grand National Harbor, the host of the Miss World 2016 Final. The 20 delegates who were invited were from - Philippines, Korea ,Mongolia, Peru, Netherlands, Equatorial Guinea, Cayman Islands, United States, Georgia, Colombia, Costa Rica, China, Australia, South Africa, Finland, Czech Rep, Singapore, Chile, Hungary, and Brazil.

The event was attended by celebrity guests, MGM staff, and the MW 2016 delegates were personally greeted by MGM General Manager- Bill Boasberg. The contestants looked all excited and elated as they mingled around with the special guests and co-contestants. “We took a tour of the new facility, saw performances by the Blue Man Group, The Jabbawockeez, and even got to see Sarah Jessica Parker! This was probably the most incredible venue of that I’ve ever been to,” said Audra Mari Miss World America 2016.

Miss Cayman Islands shared her experience and said, “During the tour, we had an amazing time and we’re looking forward to heading back for the final. We really appreciated the welcome and hospitality”.

The reigning Miss World Mireia Lalaguna was also present at the event and was so happy to be a part of the Grand Opening. She said, “I was so happy to be a part of such a grand event. It was my final event as Miss World and it was very emotional for me. I am honored to pass on my crown in this venue.”
