Miss World 2021 Head to Head Challenge Interview – Group 9

The 70th edition of Miss World pageant, Miss World 2021, is set to be held on 16th December 2021 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico where Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. There was no pageant held in 2020 due to the rampant spread of Covid-19 across the world.

While almost all the delegates have finally arrived in the host country and have begun with the registration process for the competition, the Miss World organization has officially drawn groups for the Head to Head challenge of the 70th edition of the pageant.

The organization has recently begun with the group interviews for the challenge and the first interview that has been uploaded by the organization is of Group 9 including Wales, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vietnam, Brazil, Moldova and Bulgaria.

The round was hosted by Miss World 2019 Toni Ann Singh and Miss World 2015 Stephanie Del Valle. The stunning hosts introduced the challenge as they introduced the contestants, shared their presentation videos and asked questions and finally the contestants were asked questions at the end of the round.

As the divas introduced themselves and took the audience through their beautiful countries, sharing about their cultures, people and beliefs. They also shared their passions and Beauty with a Purpose projects. Towards the end of the round, the six divas were all randomly questioned by the hosts.

First up to face the question was Wales. Olivia Harris was asked, “What is one of the biggest challenges young women face today?” She answered, “I believe that one of the biggest challenges women face today would be social media. I feel as though people post often on the things that are going on in their lives and what we need to remember is people are only going to post what they want you to see. So, I think we should juts teach young children to use social media in a positive light and show them that imperfections are beautiful and to be yourself is enough.”

Second question was thrown at Bosnia and Herzegovina who was asked how she would describe success. Adna Biber beautifully answered, “The definition of success is something very personal and individual but I think for all of us success means reaching some goal in our lives. For me, success is being happy, healthy, having a nice big family and being all happy about it.”

Next up, Vietnam’s Do Thi Ha was aksed about what she values the most in life. She answered, “The thing that I value the most I exactly my family. The family is the biggest supporter and the biggest gift that I have ever received. No matter what it is, the success, the failure, they are always beside me and are the strong pillar for me to count on.”

 

 

Brazil’s Caroline Teixeira was asked, “If you could break one rule, what rule would that be?” She answered, “The restriction of go and come. So, I would like to travel for many countries and stay there for a long time.” Up next, Moldova was asked, “What does it mean to be a modern woman?” to which Tatiana Ovcinicova answered, “For me, modern woman is a combination of two states, weakness and power. From one side a woman should be beautiful, well groomed, feminine and harmonious, and on the other hand a woman should know how to be resilient. The meaning of these two states represents a modern woman to me. A woman that knows what she wants regardless of what anyone says.”

Last but not the least, Eva Dobreva of Bulgaria was asked, “If you could wake up tomorrow and gained any ability, what would it be and why?” She responded, “If I wake up tomorrow and have special magic, I will help my mother because she has cancer and second I will help people to be peaceful, loving and save our world because we are the world, we have to make world a better place.”

The divas from all over the world will move forward in the 15 groups drawn by the organization, where each group will have a winner and then two by two winners will compete with one another until one ultimate winner is determined through voting on the Miss World website, who will then get an automatic spot in the top for the final night. In this challenge, each of the ladies are being given the chance to speak about their passions and Beauty with a Purpose projects.
