Miss World 2021, the 70th edition of Miss World, will be held on 16th March 2022 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In a recent announcement made by the Miss World organization, Top 40 delegates were selected to enter the final leg of the competition.
In a series of features, here are the forty delegates, in no particular order, (15 from the fast-track competitions and 25 through judges’ choice) who will fly to Puerto Rico for the coronation night.
Sheynnis Palacios Cornejo representing Nicaragua made it to Top 40 by winning the Head-to-Head fast track challenge. Sheynnis Alondra Cornejo Palacios is 21 years of age and stands 178 cm tall.
Born in Managua, Palacios studied at the Universidad Centroamericana where she pursued a degree in mass communication. Along with that, she also played varsity volleyball for the university. Sheynnis has quite a list of accomplishments under her belt.

Not new to the pageant world, Palacios started into the world of pageantry in 2016 when she won Miss Teen Nicaragua 2016. As Miss Teen Nicaragua 2016, Palacios represented her country in Miss Teen Universe 2017, in Managua where she placed in Top 10.
In 2020, Palacios won the Miss World Nicaragua 2020 crown as she won the right to represent Nicaragua at Miss World. Moreover, Palacios was supposed to compete in the Reinado Internacional del Café 2022 but could not because she tested positive for Covid-19.
With her experience, her stunning beauty and her oratory skills, Palacios will definitely be a strong contender for Miss World 2021 crown. If she wins Miss World 2021, Sheynnis will pioneer her country’s win at the competition.
