Miss World Australia 2017 title goes to Victorian model and criminal profiler Esma Voloder. Ms Voloder bested finalists from around the nation to snatch the $68,000 pearl-encrusted crown in Melbourne on Friday night. She clinched the crown after defeating 27 stunning contestants.

She also said that the philosophy and value she holds is faith.

“Faith in good, faith in prosperity, faith in cohesion, and faith that things can always get better,” Ms Voloder said from the Grand Hyatt ballroom. “Despite what your personal beliefs are, if we all believe in what is good, we can work together and make this world a beautiful and liveable place while we are here.”

Ms Voloder was born in a refugee camp after her parents escaped the Bosnian war. The family then relocated to Australia. She has gone on to earn a degree in psychology and is currently working as a criminal profiler in Melbourne.

Madeleine Cowe passed her crown and reign to her successor, Esma Voloder and wished her all the luck for the future.

Australia never won the prestigious title of Miss World, however, in the year 2006, Sabrina Houssami was placed as second runner-up and in the year 2012, Jessica Kahawaty was also placed as second runner-up at Miss World.
