Emma Snow is one of the finalists at Victoria and vying for the title of Miss World Australia 2020 has announced that she will be taking part in make-up free challenge to support Variety - The Children’s Charity! She explained that the The Makeup Free Day initiative will be thoughtfully supporting sick and disadvantaged Australian kids, who right now, are more vulnerable than ever as a result of the COVID-19 global pandemic.

The aim of this campaign is to promote self-confidence and to embrace your natural beauty. Emma stated that as a child and adult, she has struggled with cystic and hormonal acne. She added that one of the reasons she wanted to take part in it is because she has been on the other side and have felt how it feels when one is struggling with self-image. She added, "I had a rough time growing up with bad skin, even now I'm 22 and I still get quite bad skin. Every day it can be different, so I'm interested to see how I will wake up on 3rd July."

Emma stated that social media could have both a negative and positive effect on young girls. “We are on social media all the time and everything you see is a photoshopped images. I think it’s very nice thing of Variety to get involved in something like this that can target young girls to show you're perfect as you are.”

The diva also clarified that she is not against makeup and stated that makeup is a mask but she admires the artistry of makeup at the same time as it is a great way to express yourself but one can’t keep promoting this as being authentic is the reality of life. The diva especially mentioned that she was attracted and decided to participate at Miss World Australia 2020 because of the charity side.

"I wanted to do something a little bit bigger than myself and so I decided to enter Miss World essentially because of the charity aspect of it. Miss World is always more about the humanitarian side of things for the girls, there is no swimsuit competition, it's a lot more about how you can make a difference. I've come from an acting background, so I've always loved performing in front of a crowd and to be able to do this and combining work for charity is a great opportunity" Emma explained.

The delegates will be posting their makeup free pictures on their social media for the charity. All donations over $2 are tax deductible, and donations can be made through the link in my bio. Alternatively, if you’d like to participate in Make Up Free Day, feel free to send me a message to learn more about how to get involved.
