As the competition began, the host welcomed the jury to the room as they walked to their seats in a room full of audiences. The reigning Miss Bahamas then took her seat in the front of the row as she cheered the candidates walking the ramp in their beautiful costumes.

Miss World Abaco 2018 Alexis Denoye was the first one to enter the room, wearing a pink branched costume, looking different from all the other contestants in her outfit colour choice. Angel M Culmer, Miss World Andros 2018 came in next wearing a colourful gown with an equally colourful headgear.

Miss World Balmoral Islands 2018 Chinasa Outten walked the ramp in a coordinate set which was again colourful and gave a very 70s vibe. Miss World Crystal Cay 2018 Alexis Sawyer wore a bejewelled top and long skirt with a huge headgear that covered up most of her face, yet the whole costume looked so elegant and suave.

Miss World Grand Bahama 2018 Serene Greene entered the stage in the most original outfit wearing a yellow short dress with yellow heels. She was also carrying an umbrella and a bag which looked very out of the box. Miss World Long Island 2018 Angel Cartwright walked the stage looking celestial in a white fairy gown with angel wings. Looks like Angel did full justice to her name!

Miss World New Providence 2018 Brinique Gibson wore a green outfit with a plane as her wings. She was another contestant with a unique idea. Miss World Ragged Island 2018 Desire Edwards literally looked like a fire had walked up to the stage as she placed in the Top 3 whereas Miss World San Salvador 2018 Caitlyn Walker looked gorgeous walking in a two piece and carrying a giant flower representing Flora in yellow. Miss World UB 2018 Shelly Elisee also placed in the Top 3.

Here are the Top 3 of the National Costume Competition –
