Miss World Beauties Visit Pingtan Island

This year Miss World Organization has firmly taken the resolution to broaden the message of 'Beauty with a Purpose' throughout the world, which means a lot of travelling and sharing the variety of ideas! Yesterday the delegates of Miss World coming from all over the world were surprised when they got the chance to embark on a trip to Pingtan Island! Pingtan is an awe-inspiring island near Chinese Taipei and China PR's new up and coming tourist destination!

 

Miss World Events and Activities

 

The Miss World contestants were very warmly welcomed with perhaps the most opulent reception the island has ever witnessed. After a long journey, which included a 2-hour flight followed by a 2-hour train ride to reach Pingtan, the contestants straight away lit up when they saw their grand and sumptuous welcoming where thousands of people, counting state luminaries and media, came out to shore up the contestants. Each contestant had the opportunity to sign her name and country on a globe before the paparazzi, initiating Pingtan’s establishment as a global tourist destination.

Miss Georgia was overwhelmed by the cordial welcome and beaming with joy, she said “Can you believe they set this all up for us? I felt like a superstar and I cannot thank the people here enough! I wish I could’ve been there longer!”

Thereafter, the contestants went to see the site of the Beauty Crown’s newest development in Pingtan, a luxury tourism mini-city set to stun visitors from all around the world. The girls were awestruck with the magnificence of the place, which was very clear in their beaming faces.

As the evening progressed, the contestants were treated to a welcome dinner and extravagant theatrical show that included performances from China’s most famous pop stars, gravity-defying acrobatics, and best of all, performances from some of their peers!

 

Miss World Events and Activities

 

Miss British Virgin Islands performed Whitney Houston’s Olympics classic ‘One Moment in Time’ and received a standing ovation from the crowd. That was an ecstatic moment for the beauty queen, who later expressed: “I was so nervous but when I got up there, I felt so much positive energy from the people in Pingtan and from my fellow contestants that I knew I had to blow them away. I shined because they allowed me to shine!” Miss Malaysia, performed a contemporary dance that included eye-popping moves, as she showcased her flexibility and rhythm, she was also honored with the standing ovation and booming applause from the crowd.

Miss World with all splendors is taking small footsteps towards the grand finale, which is slated to be held on 19th December 2015. Rolene Strauss will soon crown her successor, who do you think will claim the crown with ultimate poise?
