Shubrainy Dams was crowned Miss World Curacao 2023 at the finale of the national pageant held at Marjorie's Party Place on 17th June 2023 as she became the official representative of Curacao at Miss World 2024. Six contestants competed for the national crown.
Dams is a model by profession and the owner of Lash Babe. On winning the national crown, Dams took to her official social media as she wrote, “Here I am as your Miss World Curaçao 2024. I am extremely honored to have won this prestigious title. I feel like I’m still dreaming, like I’m floating in the clouds, please someone come wake me up. ! After months of preparation, dedication, resistance and sacrifice I can say all of it was worth it because hard work always pays off.”

1st Runner-Up – Giömy DG Klepper
2nd Runner-Up – Angela Peralta
The finale saw spectacular choreography and performances by ‘The Explosion Dancers’, under the direction of the Venezuelan choreographer Jose Gregorio Gonzalez. The hosts of the ceremony were Merietza Hakmaat and Rignald Maduro.
Dams succeeds Nashaira Balentien Miss World 2022 who is also preparing to represent her country at Miss World 2023 which is scheduled to be held in India this March. After that, Miss World 2024 will be held, possibly later in the year, in a country yet to be announced.
