Miss World Ecuador 2020, the 8th edition of Miss World Ecuador, will host its coronation night on 23rd May 2020 in Portoviejo where stunning beauties from all over the country will compete for the national crown and the opportunity to represent Ecuador in Miss World 2020. María Auxiliadora Idrovo Miss World Ecuador 2019 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
With competition being held later this year, Ámar Pacheco Ibarra representing Guayaquil is emerging as a front-runner for the national crown and the opportunity to represent Ecuador at Miss World 2020 stage.
Amar is 23-years-old and stands 173cm tall. She is the daughter of the singer Silvana Ibarra and the renowned musician Gustavo Pacheco. She has been singing since she was two years old and her voice was her best strategy during the talent test of the Reina de Guayaquil contest, in which she performed songs by the late artist Whitney Houston and Silvana. Amar mentioned, “My mom has a beautiful voice and the best thing is that she sings with feeling. There is a wonderful connection between us. My daddy, my mommy and I are inseparable, best friends, I admire my dad too much, he is the best guitarist I have ever heard in my life.”
Amar speaks English and Spanish and actively helps children with disabilities through Music at her parents' foundation and volunteers at integral arts centres and teaches musical theatre classes, besides singing, Amar also likes dancing and is passionate about beauty pageants. She is not new to the pageantry as she participated in Reine de Guayaquil 2015 and was crowned as the winner. Since then the diva has worked very hard and collaborated with various designers and brands in Ecuador and has gained experience and knowledge about beauty pageants. The new opportunities have also helped her gain more confidence and a different point of view towards showcasing her thoughts and opinions to people.
The diva has been very dedicated to represent her country at international level and strongly feels that Miss World Ecuador 2020 platform will give her the chance she has been dreaming off when she was a little girl. She’d use her talent of singing to impress the judges and she has been prepping herself up for the final round. The diva is very kind and humble and wants to work for the kids across the world and has mentioned that the platform where she will be able to help the children with disabilities under Beauty With A Purpose project is one of the main reasons why she entered the pageant.
Amar is very close to her family and friends and feels that by winning Miss World Ecuador 2020, she can make them proud. She also works and advocates about women empowerment and feels that women especially in Ecuador should be given more opportunities that they already have. She also talks about self-love to the people around her and on her social media accounts. With her strong stage presence, experience and desire to represent Ecuador at Miss World 2020 stage, we think Amar Pacheco can be a tough contender for the title.
