Miss World Fiji 2017 to emphasize on issues affecting children

Miss World Fiji is all set to make it big this year, and the search for the perfect representative is still going on. The winner of Miss World Fiji 2016 was Pooja Priyanka who is currently based in Sydney. This year the pageant has its focus on issues affecting children in the country.

This was basically revealed by the director Andhy Blake yesterday who said that this would later be confirmed once the lady will be crowned. He further stated, - “I think this year, what we are going to be centering our project on is based on children because at the international finals, we've noticed beauty with a purpose projects that advocate on behalf of children across the globe are projects that always do well.

Blake also stated that this year they have decided to mix a public judging event into the competition where contestants would be interviewed, and will compete in the Top Model & Best evening Gown on 5th June at the Damodar City Centre.

He also stated that the caliber of beauties this year was high as there were some seasoned contestants who have participated in local as well as regional beauty pageants. One of the 15 stunning contestants will be crowned Miss World Fiji at the Grand Pacific Hotel on June 10.

We are all waiting for the event to get finished with all the glitters and shines with the stunning gowns and beauty of the contestants. Every contestant will go through activities and sessions to make them ready to fight for the prestigious title. Let us hope the best contestant wins the show and make their country proud further.
