Amidst all the preparations for the prestigious beauty pageant, Miss World Fiji 2017, five major Preliminary Awards have been announced. The winners will be announced at the finale of Miss World Fiji 2017 pageant which is scheduled to be held at The Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva. The contestants are busy in preparing for the finals in the best possible way.

The National Director for Miss World Fiji, Andhy Blake said the local contest is modeled after the International finals where finalists are judged in a private round to select the winners.
“The private judging format has always been part of Miss World Fiji,” Mr Blake said.
“Judges get to know our contestants better and the contestants are able to perform better in a more relaxed setting,” he added.
Mr Blake said the contestants will begin trainings for the grand finals by having two rehearsals. The event will be full of amazing performances by Popular Boy Band and Inside Out. The Pacific Island Art has taken the responsibility to dress the contestants in the opening of the show.
Digicel is the main sponsor for Miss World Fiji.The finalists are busy in various activities and sessions to get fully prepared for the finals. We are all waiting for the event to get finished with all the flashes and sparkles with the stunning gowns and beauty of the contestants.
