The Pageant director, Andhy Blake said, “This was the focus because the Miss World franchise was part of 130 other franchises worldwide and closely followed by the international media, big fashion labels and renowned bloggers.”

“By capturing the attention of the world through the pageant’s platform would market Fiji further as one of the best tourism destinations.” he further added.

One of the most important aspects of the Pageant according to the director is to introduce the beauty of the Country and the Fijian tourist attractions. “In recent years, Miss World Fiji's tourism excursions have gained interest in countries like Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Brazil, England and Korea. Whoever is crowned Miss World Fiji 2017 will also promote Fiji tourism at the international finals in China which begins in November.”

We all are waiting for the finale to watch the sizzling contestants taking over the stage with their unmatched talent and splendor. The reigning Miss World Fiji is Pooja Priyanka. The Australia-based Indian beauty was born in Lautoka, Fiji’s second largest city, and represented her country at the Miss World 2016 pageant. At the conclusion of the finale, Pooja Priyanka will crown one of the finalists as her successor.

We want to wish the contestants all the best and may the best lady win the show!
