The reigning Miss World Jamaica and Miss World Caribbean, Sanneta Myrie is looking forward to the release of Hang ‘em High, a short film she has worked on which is set for its premiere at the Toronto Short Film Festival this month!
Directed by Evan Ottoni, the 19 minute sci-fi short film will be shown on the 16th of March at the annual event, which will take place at Carlton Cinema, Toronto, from the 14th-18th March.
Hang ‘em High is a short film that follows some of the surviving remnants of humanity as they journey across a surreal post-apocalyptic landscape. Struggling against one another, they find themselves at the mercy of the anarchic force, responsible for the collapse of civilization.

Speaking on social media earlier, Sanneta said “I am very excited about the upcoming release of this short film I worked on from early last year.”
Sanneta herself won’t be in attendance as she has travelled to East Africa to participate in a series of youth development workshops and mentorship programmes organised by the Shashamane Sunrise International Foundation (SSIF).
Speaking about her trip, Sanneta said “I am proud to be an ambassador of this wonderful organisation which promotes education in developing countries across the world. This is what ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ is all about.”
The Toronto Short Film Festival runs every year in March at in downtown Toronto.
