The President of the Miss Grand International organization, Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil has been appointed as the new National Director for the Miss World Laos organization. Mr. Nawat of Thailand is a renowned name and has been a big part of the pageant industry for around a decade.

He is a Thai tour guide, media personality and businessperson. Nawat first became known for travel TV shows, first hosting Exhibition Show and then Kon Thueng Chan. He then joined Channel 3, hosting the travel segment variety talk show Today Show and becoming the director and executive producer of the Miss Thailand World beauty pageant from 2007 to 2012. He started his own beauty pageant franchise, Miss Grand International, in 2013.

Itsaragrisil is scheduled to visit Laos from 18th to 20th July 2022 where the organization might officially announce his appointment for the position. Up until 2017, the second placer of Miss Universe Laos pageant represented the country at Miss World. Since 2018, the winner of Miss World Laos represents her country at the Miss World.

The reigning Miss World Laos 2021 is Phonvilai Luanglath, who replaced the initial winner Phongsavanh Souphavady for the title. The diva was unable to compete at the Miss World 2021 international pageant. This year’s winner of the Miss World Laos 2022 title will represent the country at the upcoming 71st Miss World pageant.
