It was an indelible moment for Nepal natives when they crowned their representative Nikita Chandak for Miss World 2017.  She has proved “Only you can push yourself and no one else will do it for you”, and with her outstanding performance she also bagged two more titles, “Miss Confident” and “Miss Popular Choice”.

With the end of the contest, she turned into a celebrity overnight. Let us throw some light on unheard interesting facts about the gorgeous Miss World Nepal 2017 Nikita Chandak, representing her country in Miss World 2017.

Her native land

Nikita belongs to Marwari community, enriched with Indian culture and practices. She spent her childhood in Moran where she received her primary level education and shifted to Kathmandu a few years back.

As a child, she dreamt of becoming a doctor

Nikita had no plans to enter in the flashy world of pageants. She always topped the class during her childhood and dreamt of becoming a doctor; however, fate had different plans for her. After participating in the TGIF Nepal Fashion Week where she was appreciated by Miss Nepal 2016 Asmi Shrestha, she then applied for Miss Nepal beauty pageant and finally won it.  

Nikita plans to donate 50 Percent of the pageant prize money

With the gesture of kindness, Nikita has declared that she would be donating 50 percent of her prize money to charity, Maiti Nepal, a non-profit organization working against human trafficking.

Brand ambassador of Fanta

After winning Miss World Nepal 2017 title, Nikita will now serve as a brand ambassador for popular soft-drink brand Fanta and WWF Nepal for a year.

Strict vegetarian

Coming from Marwari community, Nikita prefers healthy vegetarian food in her daily diet.  She is not much fond of particular food item or dish but she loves fruits and fruit juice. She divides her daily household chores with her sister as she has never been much interested in cooking.

No makeup

Nikita is indeed beauty conscious but she doesn’t believe in indulging herself in make-up. She applies very basic make-up including simple eyebrow work and lipstick.
