Navjot Kaur was crowned Miss World New Zealand 2024 at the finals of the national pageant where sixteen finalists competed for the crown. Navjot became the first ever Sikh woman to be crowned as the winner as she will now prepare to represent her country at Miss World 2023.

Navjot is 27 years of age and a former police officer. As a member of Sikh community, Navjot would like to show her community’s representation at the international platform. Being raised by a single mother, Kaur wants to bring a positive impact on society.

Navjot, initially joined the police force to help the people in need, however, what she saw on the frontlines emotionally drained her which is why she left the force two years later. After that, she worked on personal training and recently got her real estate license.

The panel of jury responsible for crowning Miss World New Zealand 2023 included Tania Dawson, Cecilia Kang, Megan Alatini, (Navjot Kaur - Miss World NZ & MWNZ Director, Nigel Godfrey), Fiona Tarlton, Aloha Quitat and Tracey-Maree Houia.
