Philippines' performance at the international stages has always been remarkable. With their phenomenal performance in the international beauty pageants, the country’s divas have brought in the crowns with pride and honor. Filipina women have always fulfilled their duties, proving themselves worthy of the titles they have received.

Miss World Philippines, the annual beauty pageant crowns a queen who represents the country in Miss World every year. Since its establishment in 2011, Miss World Philippines runway has witnessed gorgeous beauties vying for the crown and splendid performances by the delegates. Here are the ten stunning divas who graced the Miss World Philippines stage with their remarkable performances –

Gwendoline Gaelle Ruais Miss World Philippines 2011 Winner

Gwendoline Gaelle Sandrine Ramos Ruais vied for the crown of Miss World Philippines 2011 at the age of 21 years. Hailing from Muntinlupa City, she was the official delegate of her province. Gwendoline’s outstanding performance throughout the competition made her the favorite candidate of the viewers in no time and at the end of the event finale, she was crowned as the winner of the first edition of the Miss World Philippines. The Miss World Philippines crown gained her the right to represent Philippines in the international stage of Miss World 2011 which she did later that year and ended up being crowned as the first runner up to Miss World 2011 Ivian Sarcos.

Gwendoline was not new to pageantry when she competed for the crown of Miss World Philippines in 2011. She earlier participated in Binibining Pilipinas 2010 where she secured her place in the top 10 semifinalists but unfortunately wasn’t crowned that year. Her first competition may not have given her the crown but it definitely gave her the confidence and self-esteem to try her luck again in the following year. She now is a queen trainer, model, actress and TV presenter and has also hosted various beauty pageants.

Queneerich Rehman Miss World Philippines 2012 Winner

Queenie Ajero Rehman represented the Las Piñas City at the stage of Miss World Philippines 2012. Back then she was 23 years old and gained huge appreciation for her performance. With her adorable personality and stunning body, she managed to bag seven out of seventeen special awards including ‘Best in Swimwear’, ‘Miss Photogenic’, ‘Miss Talent’, ‘Miss Amazing Beauty and Brains’ at the end of the event finale. Also, with her wit, humor and intelligence she nailed the question-answer round giving answers that were lucid and logical, and it was because of this she was crowned as the new Miss World Philippines 2012 by her predecessor Gwendoline Gaelle Ruais. She later represented the Philippines in Miss World 2012 where the farthest achievement she made was to get into the list of the top 15 candidates. This diva captured the worldwide attention for her beatboxing talent during her participation in Miss World Philippines 2012.

Like Gwendoline, she made her pageant debut with Binibining Pilipinas in the year 2011 and was placed among the top 15 candidates. It was because of the experience she gained in Binibining Pilipinas that made her win the crown of Miss World Philippines 2012, giving the honor to represent her country in Miss World 2012.

Megan Young Miss World Philippines 2013 Winner

Megan Lynne Young vied for the Miss World Philippines 2013 crown at the age of 23 years and managed to win. Along with bagging the crown, she also got awarded with six special awards. Her victory at the competition opened her door for the Miss World 2013 stage and she went on representing Philippines in the contest. Megan, being a perfect combination of beauty with brains, astounded the audience as well as the judges with her answer at the finale. Her victory at the international stage of Miss World 2013 marked the first time when Philippines won the prestigious title of Miss World.

Unlike many other title holders, Megan had already made her television debut before stepping into pageantry. She began her acting career in 2004 through a reality show ‘StarStruck’ and since then there’s nothing that’s holding this beauty back. After dating Mikael Daez, a Filipino model and actor, for six years, this diva tied a knot with him on 24th January 2020.

Emma Mary Tiglao Miss World Philippines 2015 Fourth Runner Up

Emma Mary Tiglao commenced her journey in pageantry with Mutya ng Pilipinas 2012 at a young age of 17 years and secured the second position in the competition. After a break of two years, the beauty showed up in Binibining Pilipinas 2014 and was placed amongst the top 15 finalists. She then worked on her loopholes and aimed for the crown of Miss World Philippines 2015 where she was titled as the fourth runner up at the conclusion of the competition. Though she didn’t win the competition, she took up space in the hearts of the audience. Her performance throughout the competition received enormous appreciation from the viewers. Also, she was awarded with the special awards, ‘Miss Photogenic’ and ‘Most Unique Talent’. The latter was the tie between her and Jannie Loudette Alipo-on.

After the competition, she took a break from vying in competitions and traveled to countries like Malaysia and Cambodia continuing her career as a professional model. With all the experience she gained in six years of pageantry, she made her comeback in 2019, trying her luck in Binibining Pilipinas 2019 and was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2019 which gave her right to represent Philippines in Miss Intercontinental 2019 which she did and was placed in the Top 20 finalists.

Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray Miss World Philippines 2016 Winner

Born in Queensland, Australia, Catriona has been a queen sine her childhood as she won Little Miss Philippines in Sydney at the age of five. This 26-years-old beauty possesses every trait necessary to be crowned and has always proved herself to be worthy of the titles she got. As an adult, she made her debut in pageantry, participating in Miss World Philippines 2016 at the age of 22 years. Gray, with her phenomenal performance at the stage not only won the Miss World Philippines 2016 crown but also was awarded with Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Best in Fashion Runway and Best in Talent subtitles. In addition to this, she also won the corporate endorsement awards like Miss FIG Image Gateway, Miss Folded and Hung, Miss Hannah Beach Resort and Miss Manila Hotel. During her final question-answered round, she amazed the judges with her sensible and witty answer, saying that every day, she sees herself as a new and better version of herself and believes in constantly improving herself. Indeed, this diva is proving her statement by showing us the new and improved version of herself every day.

After being crowned as Miss World Philippines 2016, Gray fulfilled her duty of representing Philippines at the grand stage of Miss World 2016 where she was placed amongst the top 5 finalists but unfortunately wasn’t crowned. Her failure in Miss World didn’t put a halt on her dream of becoming a queen as she aimed for the crown of Miss Universe 2018 whose journey initiated with being crowned as the winner of Binibining Pilipinas 2018. Gray represented Philippines in Miss Universe 2018 and after surpassing 94 other equally talented contestants, she was crowned as Miss Universe 2018. Her remarkable performance through all these years label her as one of the most successful Miss World Philippines winner.

Sandra Raymundo Lemonon Miss World Philippines 2016 Fourth Runner-Up

Sandra Raymundo Lemonon was 21 years old when she represented her province, Pasig City at the stage of Miss World 2016. The diva is a close friend with Miss World Philippines 2016 winner, Catriona Gray who was also her compatriot and it was because of her friendly behavior that she won ‘Miss Friendship’ special award. Also, because of her beautiful face with picture-perfect features, she got awarded with Miss Photogenic at the end of the event finale. Sandra was young and new in pageantry when she competed for the crown of Miss World Philippines 2016 but she gave a tough competition to other contestants. She was the only one after Catriona Gray to get the Sponsor award for the performance and the award was titled as Jessie Mendez Salon Ambassador.

Just like her best friend Catriona Gray, Sandra in 2018 aimed for the Miss Universe 2018 title and hence vied for Binibining Pilipinas 2018 but unfortunately wasn’t crowned. This diva is now ready to try her luck in Miss Universe Philippines 2020 and she is confirmed as the official delegate of Pasig City. Sandra has always been one of our favorite contestants and we see her as the potential winner for Miss Universe Philippines 2020 crown.

Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez Miss World Philippines 2017 First Runner Up

Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez was crowned as the first Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2017 when she vied for the crown of Miss World Philippines 2017. At the age of 25 years, Teresita represented her province Parañaque at the prestigious stage of Miss World Philippines 2017. Though she aimed to represent Philippines in Miss World 2017, her victory as Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas gained her the opportunity to represent the country in Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 where she was crowned winner at the end of the event finale. Like every other Filipino beauty, Teresita commenced her journey of beauty pageants, vying in Binibining Pilipinas where she won 3 special awards namely, Best National Costume, Miss Talent and "She's so JAG" and was placed as one of the 15 Finalists.

Miss World Philippines 2017 was a breakthrough for her in winning an International title. Although she did not win the Miss World Philippines 2017 crown, she managed to mark her victory as Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2017 and also got four additional awards, Miss Savoy Hotel Boracay, Miss Bench Body, Fast Track Talent and Fast Track Beach Beauty.

Soon after she won the International crown of Reina Hispanoamericana 2017, Teresita was approached by film-makers and thereafter she made her debut in 2013-released 10,000 Hours.

Cynthia Thomalla Miss World 2017 Second Runner Up

Cynthia Thomalia represented Southern Leyte in Miss World Philippines 2017. She was 22 years old when she vied for the crown and the opportunity to represent Philippines in Miss World 2017. She was very hardworking and determined and her hard work paid off when she was crowned as Miss Eco Philippines 2017 at the end of the event finale. Her victory gave the opportunity to represent Philippines in Miss Eco International 2018 where she was crowned as winner.

Her splendid performance at the stage of Miss World Philippines 2017 made her win special awards entitled, ‘Miss Photogenic’ and ‘Best in Long Gown’. She was also honored with sponsor award entitled, ‘Miss Blue Water Day Spa’. She was the owner of an ideal figure and a strong character. During the Fast Track Event she won the ‘Top Model’ award for her excellent performance. Ever since she brought the honor of being the first Filipina to win the crown of Miss Eco International 2018, Cynthia received enormous love and appreciation from the people of her country. She is currently working as a UN-IIMSAM Goodwill Ambassador alongside being a GMA actress and Host.

Maureen Montagne Miss World Philippines 2018 First Runner Up

Maureen Anne Montagne at the age of 25 years, represented Batangas in Miss World Philippines 2018. With her adorable beauty and sharp brain, she managed to make her into the top 10 finalists surpassing 40 other contestants from different provinces of the Philippines. Maureen was the second runner up to Katarina Rodriguez and was crowned as Miss Eco Philippines 2018. She later represented Philippines in Miss Eco International 2019 where she was crowned as the first runner up.

Maureen proved her excellence throughout the competition and became one of the favorite contestants of pageant philics. Her enchanting personality made her one of the most desirable candidates which is why she made her way into a lot of wishlists. It was her outstanding performance, that made her the winner of Sponsor Award like Miss Blue Water Day Spa. She also won the Top Model award in fast track events surpassing the Katarina Rodriguez who was later crowned as winner.

Michelle Marquez Dee Miss World Philippines 2019 Winner

Michelle Marquez Dee vied for the crown of Miss World Philippines 2019 at 23 years of age and was crowned as winner at the end of the event finale. She represented Philippines in Miss World 2019 and managed to take space in the top 12 finalists. Daughter to Melanie Marquez who is also a super model and Miss International 1979, Michelle has always been under the supervision of her mother and it was her mother’s guidance that made her win the National title.

Alongside winning the Miss World Philippines award for her splendid performance, Michelle also won Sponsor awards entitled, ‘Miss Blue Water Day Spa’, ‘Miss Best Skin’, ‘Miss Myra E’, ‘Miss GCOX’, ‘Miss Bench’. She Is currently working as an actress, model, athele and TV presenter. She made her television debut in 2018 and Movie debut in 2019-released ‘Because I Love You’. Her first received enormous love and support and it seems that this beauty shall not allow anything to come in her way to success.
