Miss World Philippines 2019 held its grand coronation night tonight at the Smart Araneta Coliseum where forty divas competed for the national crown and the end of the event finale, Michelle Dee was crowned the new queen. It was no surprise as the stunning Filipina beauty was a top favourite for the crown ever since the beginning of the pageant. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez.
Michelle was a part of our Top favourites for the crown as well. She is the daughter of the former beauty queen Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez and Michelle proved the saying ‘Like mother like daughter’ right with her win at the contest tonight. Michelle gave an outstanding performance as was cheered on by everyone in the audience. The newly crowned queen’s court included –

Along with the winning title, five other titles were awarded at the coronation night tonight: Kelley Day was crowned Miss Eco Philippines 2019, Isabelle de Leon was crowned Miss Multinational Philippines 2019, Katrina Llegado was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2019 while Vanessa Mae Walters was crowned Miss Teen Eco International Philippines 2019. Glyssa Perez was crowned the first ever Miss Tourism Philippines 2019.
From the forty contestants who began at the competition tonight, only twenty two moved forward in the competition Sheila Marie Reyes, Michelle Dee, Aura Shaznay, Vanessa Mae Walters, Katrina Llegado, Michelle Thorlund, Shannon Christie Kerver, GlyssaLeiann Perez, Ilene de Vera, Kayesha Chua, Casie Banks, Jacqueline DiamzonHammoude, Patrixia Santos, Louise Theunis, Trisha Gutierrez, Billie Hakenson, Tracy Maureen Perez, Michelle Arceo, Isabelle de Leon, Kelley Day, Kalea Rivero Pitel and Ruffa Nava.
From these twenty-two beautiful ladies, twelve finalists were chosen who went through a rigorous round of question and answer as the judges selected their winners: Glyssa Perez, Shannon Kerver, Tracy Maureen Perez, Billie Hakenson, Katrina Llegado, Isabelle de Leon, Michelle Arceo, Vanessa Mae Walters, Casie Banks, Michelle Thorlund, Michelle Dee and Kelley Day.

The Fast Track Winners were also announced from the finalists chosen at the individual competitions during the competition - Sheila Marie Reyes won the Talent Competition, Michelle Dee won the Sports Challenge, Vanessa-Mae Walters won the Beach Beauty Challenge, Aura ShaznayTumulak won the Multimedia Competition, Katrina Llegado won the Top Model Competition while Michelle Thorlund and Shannon Christie Kerver won the Charity Competition. GlyssaLeiann Perez was awarded the coveted title of Beauty with a Purpose Winner.
