Six finalists to vie for Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2019

Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2019 aka Miss World Puerto Rico 2019 is all set to host its coronation night on 29th August 2019 as six finalists will compete for the national crown and the opportunity to represent Puerto Rico in Miss World 2019. Miss World Puerto Rico 2018 Dayanara Martínez will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

The preliminary was held on Sunday at the Centro de Bellas Caguas Arts where the six finalists were selected. Here are the six contestants competing for Miss World Puerto Rico 2019 -

Yashira Marrero Vázquez representing Cayey

Mariangie Alicea Figueroa representing Juana Díaz

Karimar Quinones Algarín representing Carolina

Maritery Carrión Portela representing Caguas

Nicole Paredes Rivera (Popular Vote)

Before the selection of these six finalists, thirteen were chosen instead of twelve because of draw between two contestants. The semifinalists group was composed of the winners of the five Mini Competitions corresponding to Miss Cayey in Sports, Miss Dorado, Yireh Pizarro Sepúlveda in Talent, Miss Juana Díaz with Best Figure, Miss Bayamón with Top Model and Miss Utuado, Betzaidy Ballester in Beauty with Purpose with the My Hands Speak initiative. They were added the candidates of Miss San Lorenzo, Natalia Carrodeguas Díaz and Miss Humacao who won the Collective Project Awards Against Violence of Avon and Personality of La X awarded by the radio station La X respectively. The other six candidates who joined the group of the 13 semifinalists were selected as a result of the jury interviews and their execution

A few awards were also presented in the preliminary and they were the challenges Bloom, Vizzano, ABC, D 'Amis and Avon. These fell to Miss Arecibo, Miss Caguas, Miss Carolina, Miss Adjuntas and Miss Bayamón. On the other hand, the Miss Friendship award was obtained by Miss Vega Baja, Valeria Sánchez Rodríguez.
