Andjelija Rogic to represent Serbia at Miss World 2017

Andjelija Rogic has been crowned as Miss Serbia 2017, and the beauty queen will now represent Serbia at the Miss World 2017 pageant. She won the crown in October, where she defeated 20 beauties to clinch the crown.

At the same pageant, Sara Mitic was titled as the first runner-up and is expected to compete at Miss Universe 2017, while Marija Nikic was adjudged the second runner-up and is expected to compete at Miss Earth 2017.

22 year old Andjelija comes from a small town Gorjani located in Western Serbia. She is currently studying at the Belgrade University, Faculty of Pedagogy. Andjelija’s dream is to work for children and to open a kindergarten, where the children can develop their talents and creativity. The beauty loves Serbian Folk dance forms, and is a trained dancer . She has been to various countries to exhibit her dance form internationally.

Andjelija aspires to be a successful model someday. So far, she has worked at several Fashion shows with famous Serbian designers and has also collaborated with various European designers like Antoine Kareh and Ali Karoui.  The beauty enjoys humanitarian work and has organised and participated in several cultural and artistic shows, where she collected money for the education and the health of vulnerable children.

Miss World is no longer just a beauty pageant, it has emerged as a platform for young women from across the globe to showcase their talent, intelligence and work towards a greater good. Miss World pageant provides these contestants to display their culture and raise awareness towards various humanitarian causes, every year the pageant raises millions of pounds for charitable work under the banner of “Beauty with a Purpose” program.
