The first edition of Miss World South Africa has officially begun as Top 12 finalists have been selected to compete for the Miss World South Africa 2023 crown. This is the first time the pageant is being held under Carol Bouwer Productions (CBP) who took over the license from the Miss South Africa organization last May.

The winner of Miss World South Africa 2023 is expected to compete at Miss World 2023, which is scheduled to happen in Mumbai, India in December. The Top 12 finalists have been announced from over 50 semi-finalists who made the first cut.

The winner will succeed last year’s representative Shudufhadzo Musida who competed at Miss World 2022 and placed in Top 40 with her stellar performance. South Africa holds 3 Miss World crown under its belt.
