The finale of the inaugural edition of Miss World South Africa was held at 28th October 2023 at The South African State Theatre in Pretoria where Dr Claude Mashego was crowned the new Miss World South Africa 2023.

Dr Claude Mashego is 24 years of age and hails from Acornhoek, Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga. A doctor by profession, she holds a degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Pretoria. She bested 11 other contestants to win the national crown and is now expected to represent South Africa at the 71st Miss World.

The newly crowned Miss World South Africa 2023 Dr Claude Mashego’s court included –

1st Runner-up – Alyssa Joan Smith

2nd Runner-up – Zoalize Jansen Van Rensburg

Top 5 finalists also included Motheo Mokoto and Asande Mchunu.

The stunning South African beauty is also the founder of the nonprofit organization ‘Young Leaders Network’ to advocate for youth development, leadership, and entrepreneurship by bringing together young people from different fields of expertise.

The reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska from Poland was also present at the finale with the chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organization Julia Morley. Rolene Strauss was also present as one of the distinguished judges at the event.
